Job Description :
1.Management of Incidents including
communication, root cause analysis and appropriate recovery actions
2.Capable of defining and enforcing
clear standard acceptance approach to major change into the live environment.
3.Indirectly accountable for the
quality of work done by other Infrastructure Technologists.
4.Ensure voice infrastructure
component blueprints exist to enable voice Infrastructure designers to produce
high quality designs.
5.Working with ISD designers,
Project Service Architects and Architecture, Governance & Standards for
input and to understand and influence changes in architectures policies and
strategy
6.Create and Maintain necessary
capability, knowledge and skills personally and within ISD to deliver a world
class Voice Infrastructure Strategy.
7.Keeping knowledge of Barclays
Infrastructure Products and Services current
8.Keeping knowledge of Supplier
Infrastructure Products and Services current
9. Define and Champion the use of
Technical Standards, Procedures and Best Practice.

1.Thorough knowledge of the large
contact centre environments
2.Thorough knowledge of CTI
Integration
3.Thorough knowledge of PBX &
PSTN signalling systems such as DPNSS, Q931, QSig, DASS, SIP, H.323, ICM
4.Through knowledge of VoIP based
technologies, H.323, Codec's, IP Trunking
5.Good technical knowledge of Cisco
based LAN/WAN routers and switches
6.A good awareness of VOIP
technology (Nortel, Avaya & Cisco) and its implementation in a Cisco Routed
/ Switched environment
7.Good knowledge and experience of
WAN routing technologies used within the Barclays group
8.Proven experience in Supporting
large and complex voice solutions
9.Solid knowledge of all the major
components in
a vendor's solution
10.Competent in discussing the
technology with vendor escalation support team
11.In depth knowledge of Aspect
Dialler including configuration Service Support
