
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.To understand and exhibit
knowledge on PNMS subject especially piping network systems using platforms
like Excel, MATLAB, C and C++
2.To be able to understand and
implement statistical and black box modelling techniques which are data driven
to estimate real time information (like flow and pressure sensor data) for
piping network analysis.
3.Excellent knowledge of liquid
flow, pump hydraulics, pipe modeling with ability to physically interpret and
understand data generated or available.
4.To be able to apply optimization
techniques with the piping network model and find scope of enhancing various
Performance Indices (like energy recovery, leakage reduction and stable water
distribution pressure) for the target location.
5.To be able to evaluate network
management performance based on measurement data from customer distribution
networks & review to enhance PI’s.
6.Overlook urban pipe network
projects with business division by participation in field study, water supply
performance assessment and solution development for domestic water suppliers.
This may include meeting personnel at field site and understanding their
issues.
7.Learn about the existing
Hitachi’s products, technologies, simulation tools. This may include
meeting/training with business divisions (both domestic and overseas).
Educational qualification :
Bachelor's/Master’s degree Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Science Engineering

Essential :
1.Working experience in
Design/Development/Research Lab as an engineer/researcher.
2.Proficiency in statistical data
modelling and data visualization with physical interpretation
3.Good communication, reporting,
presentation and cross-cultural skills for collaboration with business groups
and global network of Hitachi R&D.
Desirable :
1.Research/Technical Papers
published in water distribution control and PNMS areas.
2.Experience in using PVnet and
EPANET
3.Experience in using GIS
(Geographic Information System)
