Key functions include:
1.Conducting VOC / VOB market
research programs to determine customer needs to provide competitive advantage
to the company.
2.Conducting competitive
benchmarking and best-in-class research to ensure we deliver competitive
advantages with cost competitive products and services.
3.Creating functional
specifications for new product and services to a detailed level that can be
passed to the NPI group for execution.
4.Producing engineering change
requests / supporting information.
5.Working closely with the sales
and marketing department to produce forecasts and market price requirements.
6.Conduct market evaluation and
business case creation.
7.Develop product pricing strategy
in conjunction with the Sales and Pricing admin teams.
8.Hold regular product reviews and
updates with Regional Sales teams and Dealers
9.In addition the position will act
as a product consultant to sales and marketing departments and dealers as
required.

Required Qualifications :
1.Candidates must hold an
engineering or marketing degree together with at least 12-15 years experience
of Electric Power gensets and systems.
2.The incumbent will also be
required to demonstrate experience of commercial negotiation with dealers, end
customers and / or suppliers.
3.Must possess excellent commercial
knowledge and business acumen, initiative, teamwork, human relation and
communication skills and be able to effectively work in complex environments
with various levels of enterprise and dealer management/staff located in
diverse cultures.
4.The incumbent will be required to
travel internationally for approximately 20% of their work time.
