Job Description :
The Site Reliability Engineering team is responsible for keeping all of FreeCharge's consumer platforms well oiled and running. This starts with designing and building highly available, well redundant components with developers to avoid any single points of failure, includes setting up monitoring, trending and analysis systems for all technical and business metrics and ends with providing preventive and reactive incident management from any escalations from the NOC Team.
The typical SRE is someone who loves tackling problems of scale, pushing systems to their limits both in terms of performance and cost optimization, is able to remain clear headed in a crisis situation and able to communicate well and work with multiple product teams to maintain and improve systems engineering quality across the company.

Desired Skills and Experience : 
1.5 to 10 years experience in Unix/Linux system administration.
2.Strong knowledge of Operating Systems Theory and Networking Concepts.
3.Good debugging skills using standard command line sysadmin tools.
4.Familiarity with common Internet protocols and their server side implementations.Automation using a scripting language - Python, Perl, Ruby, Shell.
5.Developing monitoring systems using Nagios, Graphite, Riemann.Hands on Networking experience with Firewalls, Routers and VPN devices.
6.Config Management Systems experience - one of Ansible, Puppet or Chef.Experience managing large transactional databases using MySQL or Postgresql.Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, Voldemort, etc.
7.Sense of ownership to own and deliver cross functional projects.  Willingness to work on multiple, fast paced tasks at the same time.
