Responsibilities:
Maintain the infrastructure and functionality of company's hybrid structures (On-prem, AWS, Azure)
Resolve complex problems encountered during the installation and operation of software applications to minimize the impact on both clients and internal employees
Manage configuration, administration, upgrade and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers, Microsoft clusters, App Services, and Azure/AWS Infrastructure.
Maintain ongoing communication within the IT team as well as internally within endpoint to keep all stakeholders aware of relevant, known issues and the actions being performed.
Analyze problems, perform troubleshooting and incident response on the systems, communicate with site technicians, and track problems through to resolution.
Responsible for monitoring systems and security functions of the systems (alerts & trending graphs) to determine production issues.
Cross-departmental collaboration to assess existing controls and recommend and implement new controls.
Ensure proper utilization of troubleshooting mechanisms and escalation processes.
Provide assistance with ticket management and reporting tasks.
Support other teams as needed.
Participate in on-call rotation.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related fields such as Information Technology or Information Systems, preferred. Relevant or equivalent work experience with a certification, such as Microsoft Technology Professional (MTA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) will be considered.
Experience:
3-5 years’ experience working as a System Administrator role in a mixed protocol environment.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies
In depth knowledge and production experience with the VMware vSphere Enterprise, Azure, and AWS.
Minimum Operating System Experience: Windows Server 20012, and Windows 10.
Proficient with Exchange Server 2013/MS365, IIS, and some scripting languages.
Experience setting up and maintaining systems in a production environment using tools like VMware DRS, HA, vMotion, Fault Tolerance, and vSphere Replication.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Cloud watch, Azure Monitoring, Nagios, Splunk.
Experience with Multi-factor authentication and SSO (Cisco ASA, OKTA and/or Duo preferred)
Experience in Design/Architecture of Azure or AWS and hybrid cloud solutions, a plus.
Familiarity with scripting tools such as PowerShell and Bash.
Working knowledge for servers, firewall and desktop
Skills:
Proven ability to troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues efficiently.
Understanding of TCP/IP, Switching, Routing, LAN/WAN/vLAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN.
Effective oral and technical written communication skills to communicate and present information in front of groups.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Must have strong technical and interpersonal skills.
