What you’ll do:
1.Studies principles and techniques
of programming and the work processes and methods of the organization. Performs
desk checking of program modules.
2.Studies existing codes; writes
new codes; or modifies existing codes as instructed.
3.Prepares system control statement
documents and utility program parameters for later use by a data processing
analyst in obtaining operations sign off and in conducting application parallel
testing.Maintains production application programs.
4.Responsible for test data /
sample data.
5.Required to study and understand
completely the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
Aids in preparation of or, under
close supervision, prepares flowcharts and block diagrams, and codes programs
to operations for testing.
6.Aids in preparation of unit and
module level test plans. Actively involved in the study of, and acquiring
knowledge of, new technologies and skills (software/hardware).Active
participation in coding for Live projects, under supervision.
7.Aids in maintenance of program
modules. Management of control statement documents for processes at all stages.
Carry out research on new and existing projects.
