Job Description :
Ciena’s labs are
filling with new high tech equipment all the time. We need a responsible
individual to join our team and help us to install various types of nodes for
optical transport, Packet Network and switching functions and provide ontime
support to Lab users request, Requirements include IT or Diploma in Electronics
and Communication Engineering with 5 + years of experience in Lab support role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES :
1.Attend to service requests from
lab users from R&D teams for day to day lab activities.
2.Successfully install and
commission the received gear as per agreed time line.
3.Support in Test Equipment’s
calibration.
4.Inventory management and
coordination for the shipment of equipment and materials as requested
5.Maintain labeling systems for all
Lab equipment. Assist in conducting periodic physical inventory scans.
6.Ensure proper routing of fibers
across the nodes via patch panels.
7.Ensure fibers cables are well
maintained & properly tested for losses prior to usage. Remove unused
cables from the racks on a regular basis & return to storage.
8.Enforce Ciena policies for proper
use of the lab. Includes ESD procedures,
keeping the lab clean and organized, etc.
9.Maintain Lab Nodes IP list on
periodic basis.
10.Provide support in Lab budget
preparation.
