(Senior) Microsoft SQL Administrator
Is accountable for reviewing and upgrading MS MSQL Database. Participate reviewing current systems and propose/implement enhancements.

Skills:
• Allocate system storage and plan future storage requirements for the database system.
• Identify, implement and improve database monitoring, capacity planning, and performance monitoring processes and tuning.
• Triage more complex database issues and handle escalations from other staff members.
• Decide when major process changes need to be made for database management. Implement process changes, or institute a high level design and delegate the implementation. Develop custom queries and reports using approved tools.
• Ability to drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects.
• Ensure data recovery, integrity, and space requirements of databases through formulations and monitoring of policies, procedures, and standards.
General job duties :
• Install and upgrade the database servers.
• Manage the performance and data integrity of all databases. Promote consistency in scope, meaning, normalizing and handling of data throughout.
• Work with vendors, internal IT teams and users in the implementation of new applications including database install, upgrade, and configuration. all applications.
• Implement advanced monitoring and alerting solutions for database systems.
• Maintain and ensure database consistency, integrity, security, and auditing in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Ensure the implementation of roadmaps and assignments as defined by his/her management.
• Plan and monitor assigned projects and communicate project progress.
• Create and modify monitoring processes to alert system blocking, slowness, high resource usage, utilization or data sync delays or lags and takes appropriate corrective actions.
• Create processes; documents how to install/configure/maintain/create always-on database systems; log shipping; and designs disaster recovery (DR) for mission critical systems and databases.
• Analyze, define, and document system requirements for data workflow, logical processes, interfaces with other systems, auditing, reporting requirements and production configuration.
