The Opportunity:
The OpenText Analytics Magellan platform delivers information to virtually unlimited numbers of users in record-breaking time. This opportunity is to work on our high-performance columnar database engine at the core of our Analytics products.
The OpenText Analytics Magellan Platform product development team is seeking a talented Lead Software Engineer to join the team. You will utilize knowledge and experience to perform design, systems analysis, research, maintenance, troubleshooting and other programming activities. You will also play a key role in the development of work teams by providing others with direction and leadership.
The position is remote, working within a team mainly located in Barcelona area.
You are great at:
Leading, driving, implementing highly scalable and complex solutions
Understanding and learning unfamiliar technologies and frameworks, concepts and design patterns and integrating them quickly while working in a fast paced, team-driven agile development environment
Utilizing analytical skills to developing new features, as well as, enhancing existing features and troubleshooting problems.
Leading software design/code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to company standards
Taking ownership of features and code bases, handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Suggesting enhancements and providing input on products and features developed by the team.
Providing status updates to stakeholders and escalating issues when necessary.
What it takes:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 5+ years of enterprise product development experience
Should be strong at Java programming language.
Should be strong at Java Script and Angular
Should be strong at Object Oriented design and SOLID principles.
Should be strong at Algorithms and Data Structures
Good to have knowledge on Spring and Spring boot.
Good knowledge on Cloud technologies like Docker, Kubernetes etc.
