Overview
Our group is responsible for the Linux operating systems that power Azure – from VMs and containers, to bare metal, and silicon – in the cloud and at the edge. We work closely with upstream communities, with software and hardware vendors, OEMs, Linux distribution partners, and with hundreds of customers inside and outside Microsoft to create and operate OS platforms and products with the highest security, hardware-accelerated performance, and innovation agility.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualification
4+ years of overall work experience, with 2+ years of experience working as a technical program manager
2+ years of experience working with Linux or in the systems space
2+ years of experience working with global teams in different time zones
Adaptive communication – in verbal and written form; with peers, executives, and engineers
Bachelors in computer science or engineering, or higher
Responsibilities
You will be part of IDC Linux Program Management team - this team is accountable for working with Microsoft teams in APAC on Azure Linux adoption, for growing the external utilization of Azure Linux with AKS, for kickstarting local Linux communities, and for enabling global operations for all our Linux programs. In this role, you will work closely with engineering leaders, with hardware/software architects, with upstream project leaders, with major IHVs, security and incident response.
