
Principal Accountabilities :
1.Support the project initiatives
and ensure appropriate level of websphere Message Queue (WMQ) support is
provided during the Infrastructure Build and Go Live stages. This also includes
problem resolution w.r.t. to MQ during the various pre-production and
production phases.
2.Understand and apply standards,
best practices to ensure compliance and consistently maintain quality in
deliverables.
3.Comply with the processes in
place and ensure the agreed service levels are met with the expected level of
quality
4.Review the processes consistently
to implement improvement plans, and to support organization objectives for
efficiency.
5.Ensure high availability of
services.

Impact on the Business / Function :
1.Installation of Websphere MQ
following thesuperstack and goldstack standards.
2.Build and setup the WebSphere MQ
environments as per application requirements and to follow the naming/design
standards.
3.Administer WebSphere MQ – which
involves trouble shooting of MQ issues related to distributed queuing, MQ
Authorities, Cluster, SSL etc. Resolving connectivity issues by coordinating
end to end testing with applications. • Understanding of MQ monitoring and
configuration.
4. Basic UNIX shell scripting
skills for MQ administration and Support activities
5.Be aware of the ongoing
infrastructure issues andvigilant to avoid / minimize downtime of services
6.Understand business,
environments, shared
services to prioritize incidents
7. Track and resolve WebSphere MQ
incidents/problems as per SLA.
8.Follow best practices while
addressing issues.
9.Meet the delivery standards as
per the agreement that includes quality of deliverables, documentation
10.Provide timely reports
11.Interact with application teams
and other infrastructure teams
12.Work with regions for MIRs and
