Position Summary:
The Program Manager role is integral to reaching Teach for India’s vision. Each Program Manager is responsible for coaching, managing and developing a team of Fellows. Their primary role is to maximize each Fellow’s leadership growth as we strive to build the movement of leaders that will end educational inequity. Throughout the two year Fellowship, Program Managers will support and guide their Fellows as they work to place over 500 children on a different life path. The Program Manager role is suited for those who wish to make a critical impact on students, schools and Fellows across our cities, want to increase their vision-setting, strategic thinking, planning, curricular planning, adult training, team building, coaching and managing, influencing, motivating and instructional skills, and are energized by working with an urgent, collaborative and high-achieving team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1.Believe that all students can achieve at high levels, and Fellows must lead them to transformed life paths.
2.Exemplify Teach For India core values, sense of possibility, teamwork, excellence, integrity, critical thinking, seva, respect and humility.
3.Strong influencing and motivating skills (with students, parents, Principals, Teach For India staff other teachers and/or other Fellows).
4.Exhibit professionalism with respect to school and Teach For India policies.
5.Strong instructional planning (lesson plans, long-term plans, unit plans).
6.Strong classroom culture and management skills.

Additional responsibilities:
1.Conduct assessment centres for new Fellows on four weekends a year, and influence them to join the Fellowship.
2.Actively participate and lead at the Teach For India Training Institutes a full-time staff member.
3.Attend recruitment events (presentations, coffee chats, and gatherings).
