Key Responsibilities:
1Proactively utilize network
monitoring tools to isolate events before service degradation occurs.
2.Coordinate with users and
Internet Service Providers to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution for any
trouble tickets.
3.Troubleshooting layers 1, 2 and 3
of the OSI Model.
4.Apply security patches as
required.
5.Create technical documentation,
network diagrams, inventory control documentation, and security documentation.
6.Work trouble tickets as assigned
by Tier II lead.
7.Conduct daily performance checks
on Cisco devices (CPU utilization, system logs, system errors, others as
required).
8.Perform immediate troubleshooting
as the situation dictates for any and all network outages as reported by users,
sensors, and/or operational personnel.
9.Define network security best
practice policies for both corporate and production environments.
9.Implement, and maintain network
security policy, standards, and procedures.
10.Deploy and maintain access-list
and firewall policies for high throughput environments.
11.Define network security best
practice policies for both corporate and production environments.
12.Design and implement firewall,
VPN, and IDS/IPS solutions for office and data-centre environments.
13.Build and support a network log
aggregation infrastructure and support incident response initiatives.
14.Design and develop tools for
detection of malicious network activity.
15.Provide 24/7 on-call security
operational support on a rotational basis.

Qualifications:
1.Bachelor's Degree with minimum of
4-5 Years of Experience as a Network Engineer is required
2.Thorough knowledge of IP
networking principles.
3.Robust experience with
addressing, sub-netting, routing, switching, VLANs, VTP, STP, NAT, VPN, 802.1x,
VRRP, HSRP etc.
4.Hands-on experience implementing,
administrating and troubleshooting network devices: Cisco ASA, Cisco network
switches, wireless controllers/AP’s, and routers; network load balancers.
5.Strong knowledge of firewall
policies, NAT rules, IP SLA, VoIP, SIP, IPSec VPN, IDP & IPS, RADIUS, and
TACACS.
6.Borderless networks, SSL VPNs,
Cisco AnyConnect experience
7.Strong knowledge of IP routing protocols
OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, QoS, GRE, NetFlow WAN technologies.
8.A good level of experience
implementing and administering common TCP/IP – based services, including DNS,
DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.
9.Experience with standard network
and security change and configuration control policies.
10.In-depth knowledge of network
monitoring and administration tools (Nagios, OpenNMS, and Zabbix).
11.Operational experience with
network security issues and access control mechanisms.
12.Must be able to work effectively
with little supervision as well as in a team environment.
13.Ability to develop and document
operational and crisis response procedures.
14.Ability to work in a fast-paced,
rapidly growing environment while balancing multiple, sometimes competing
priorities successfully.
15.CCSP or CISSP Certifications is
a plus
16.Ability to work on-call and
respond to production issues on a 24x7 basis and extending beyond Normal
Working Hours.
