DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Identifying the bottle-necks and
performance tuning.
2.Responsible for integrity and
security of the database.
3.Monitoring performance and
managing configuration parameters to provide fast query responses to front-end
users.
4.Installation and testing of new
databases as well as patching of existing live databases.
5.Ensuring that storage, archiving,
back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctly.

Qualifications:
1.Extensive experience with Oracle
10g and 11i.
2.Extensive experience with Oracle
technologies like ASM, VPD, table space encryption, RAC, dataguard, etc.
3.Should have extensive knowledge
of Oracle diagnostic, monitoring and troubleshooting tools to identify database
performance bottlenecks, and take appropriate corrective actions to improve
database performance.
4.Extensive experience in database
support in performance tuning, database troubleshooting, RDBMS patching, and
locks detection.
5.Knowledge of Oracle DBA best
practices (e.g., schema management, index optimization, and use of hints).
6.Solid knowledge in Oracle
security practices.
7.Knowledge of operating
interrelationships between database, business applications and operating
systems.
8.Understand hot and cold backup
planning.
9.Familiarity with real time data
synchronization.
10.Problem-solving and good
analytical skills.
11.Must be able to work with
multiple groups to resolve data issues.
12.Must have experience of working
in mid to large size production environment.
13.Must be able to work in a 24x7
on-call customer facing environment.
14.Experience in a SaaS environment
a big plus.
15.Must have exceptional verbal,
written, interpersonal and presentation skills.
16.Working experience in SaaS is
highly desirable.
17.Should have a valid passport.
18.Must be able to work in a cross
cultural environment.
